Collector notes

Visiting a coin shop

A few notes before you walk into Advantage Pawn 2 - sell handbag Miami Sell Gold Miami - Sell Rolex - Pawnshop Miami aventura Hialeah Miami Gardens- in Miami Gardens, FL. These rotate daily. They are general collector etiquette from CDXList — not this shop’s house rules. When something is unclear, ask the person at the counter.

  1. Saturday morning is often the busy window

That is when collections walk in and regulars stop by. Fine if you like energy. Less fine if you want a long, quiet look at an estate. Midweek late morning is often easier. If you need time, ask when they are slower.

  2. A real look takes more than thirty seconds

Dates, mint marks, damage, weight, and whether something is collectible or melt all take time. Do not rush a careful dealer. Do not dump two hundred coins and ask for a number while you check email. Stay with the lot. Answer questions.

  3. What happens at the counter is private

Do not repeat another customer’s name, address, or what they sold. Do not film the register. Shops are small towns. Discretion is part of being a decent visitor. It is also how you get treated like one.

  4. They do not have to buy what you brought

A shop can pass on tokens, damaged coins, or a category they do not handle. “We don’t buy that” is information. Ask who might. Do not argue them into a box they cannot use. A clean no today keeps the door open next time.

  5. Do not make a deal with another customer at the counter

If you overhear what someone is selling, that is not an invitation. Do not offer to buy their coins, do not quote a price over their shoulder, and do not ask the shop to “introduce you.” The counter is the shop’s workplace. Side deals in the aisle put the dealer in an ugly spot and make other customers uncomfortable.
