Our interests include Morgan and Peace dollars, silver coins, gold coins, constitutional silver, commemoratives, proof and mint sets, graded PCGS and NGC coins, gold and silver bars and rounds, and other numismatic collectibles. We also buy and sell U.S. paper money, including silver certificates, gold certificates, Confederate currency, fractional notes, graded notes, uncut sheets, and other collectible currency.
For foreign paper money collectors, we handle collectible banknotes from countries around the world, including Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Iraq, Venezuela, Indonesia, and others, as well as graded notes, error notes, radar notes, and other unusual issues.
Whether you're looking to add to your collection, sell individual coins or an entire collection, or buy or sell precious metals, our experienced staff provides straightforward, knowledgeable service. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments are recommended for larger collections.

Collector notes
Visiting a coin shop
A few notes before you walk into Shores Pawn & Jewelry in Ocala, FL. These rotate daily. They are general collector etiquette from CDXList — not this shop’s house rules. When something is unclear, ask the person at the counter.
Ask before you touch anything in the case
The dealer will hand you a coin or put it on a pad. Do not reach into a tray or slide a slab toward yourself. Handle coins by the edges if they are raw. If you drop something, say so immediately.
If you set a time, be on it
Some shops work by appointment on bigger lots. Be on time. Call if you are late or cannot come. The slot they held is time they did not give someone else. Reliability gets you invited back.
Not every coin shop is a pawn shop
Some do jewelry and scrap. Some do not. Ask if you have gold jewelry, a watch, or diamonds. Do not assume, and do not be put out if coins are what they do. The right shop for coins may send you next door for the rest.
Ask before you photograph coins or people
A picture of a piece in the case is often fine. A picture of another customer, an open buy, or the register is not. Ask first. Many shops are happy to let you shoot a coin you are considering. They are not a film set.
Follow the house rules without a debate
Bags on the floor, backpacks zipped, one person at the glass — shops set these for a reason. Argue about it and the visit is already off. If a rule is unclear, ask. If it is clear, do it.
